The Octet RED 96 uses Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) to measure binding events, kinetics, and protein concentrations in real time. Its dip-and-read workflow works with standard 96-well plates and purified or crude samples.

Key Benefits:

  • 8 simultaneous channels for parallel measurements, high-throughput kinetics

  • Works with crude samples: serum, lysates, viscous buffers tolerated

  • Real-time kinetic measurements: Kd from ~10 pM to 1 mM; association/dissociation rates measurable

  • Supports protein quantitation (e.g., IgG: 0.05–2,000 µg/mL) and small molecule binding

  • Temperature controlled (15–40 °C) with orbital shaking for reproducible results

  • Flexible assays: epitope binning, competition assays, and biosensor regeneration
